We’re celebrating Software Freedom Day with a full day of workshops and demos!  Light refreshments will be provided.

  • 9:00am - 10:00am:  SFD Welcome, Intro to Yale Privacy Lab, and a remote conversation with Siim Teller, Head of Marketing & Community at Wire.
     
  • 10:00am - 11:00am:  Learn how to map surveillance devices with Lab Coordinator Michael Kwet, Visiting Fellow at Yale ISP.
     
  • 11:00am - noon:  Break.  Stick around and chat or grab lunch with a friend in New Haven.
     
  • Noon - 1:00pm: FreedomBox - take your data back with a personal privacy server.  Learn about the project from a representative of the FreedomBox Foundation.
     
  • 1:00pm - 2:00pm: Digital Self-Defense workshop with Lab Director Sean O’Brien.  Learn how to use tricks from Snowden’s toolkit to keep yourself private and secure.
